This offseason sucks. They’re probably out of enough money to do anything worthwhile. Might as well go short term and when the new management group comes in they’ll have a clean slate. Hopefully.

I mean I have a lot and it’s less of a meme and more of sometimes I think player X isn’t represented on a jersey enough

And sometimes the jersey is already lettered and a good price ie Andre Dawson Marlins
 
I mean, given their signings, I think it's unlikely that we get negative war from any position. Like they didn't pencil in Schneider as the DH and call it a day. So, credit there?

But yeah, it's just another meh signing. If Vlad and/or Kirk and/or Manoah can rebound, the team can easily compete for the division. But you can't look at the offseason and see 30m spent on guys and not really be excited about any of them.

Team is probably still more likely to make the playoffs than to miss them. But the leeway is small, and there's very little margin. A bad year for Gausman or a Bichette injury or something like that and easily could be on the outside looking in, even if someone surprises.
