OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

It’s not the 1980s anymore. Arbitrations are the team’s lawyers in a room with the player’s lawyers arguing over which other players are the best comparables and how much salaries have gone up. Plus, either way, he is going to get paid. Not really a story, IMO.
 
KC just locked up their star SS, Bobby Witt Jr., for 11-years. $290 million.

Of course, our young stars would have never agreed to an extension like that because their dads played in the majors, so they don’t need the money.

I don’t think bo and vladdy not getting locked up is a rogers issue.

The thing is, they’re already missed the window to sign those contracts.

Vlad Sr did make slightly more in his career than Bobby Witt did. But yeah, this isn't some poor kid who grew up in the streets of the DR signing away his future. I wish we'd done that with Vlad a few years ago. It's always like the first thing I do on a new OOTP game is to lock up Vlad for the max time.
 
So their 4th OF is Davis Schneider/IKF?

They can’t be done adding roster pieces, but the article is right that playing time will be an issue for even a Tommy Pham calibre of player.
