Boros got kicked in the cockI still don't understand what Boras is doing. Rumours all along that these guys were asking for ridiculous contracts (Chapman didn't sign until fucking March) and now he and Bellinger take these weird 3 year deals with 2 opt-outs that might as well be 1 year deals. I'm sure nothing close to this contract was on the table earlier, but it certainly is a good deal for the Giants.
but of course now people are saying it was "collusion"Boros got kicked in the cock
Finally teams got some common sense in free agency
Nobody knows how this was going to shape out months agoYeah, like I think you stomach the IKF decision a lot better if Chapman locks in for like a 4 year deal.
Still a chance that Chapman's deal doesn't work out, but it's only 3 years and drops in value. Odds are he'll opt out as long as he doesn't get hurt, but that's not even a bad thing. It's almost exactly the sort of deal I would have wanted to bring him back for.
fuck collusion , simply put Ohtani was the only king of free agency , mixed with many gambles that teams were not paying and getting ripped down the road .but of course now people are saying it was "collusion"
He was pretty meh in AAA so best of luck with thatStill think we'll see Addison Barger play a fair amount of 3rd base this year. Looked into his defensive abilities and it sounds like he's got a strong arm and should be able to handle third.

Their plan is terrible and cowardly
Barger was dealing with injuries last year, but he beasted in 2022. He's a good prospect and 24 years old, if he's hitting early on he will get the call up.That's uhhh....not good.
I didn’t not know what stupefies me more. You’re confidence in Barger or confidence in the FO to give up on IKF/Biggio/EspinalBarger was dealing with injuries last year, but he beasted in 2022. He's a good prospect and 24 years old, if he's hitting early on he will get the call up.
Yeah imagine Barger being your silver liningThat's uhhh....not good.
this board constantly cries about the Leafs not giving the young guys a chance, so I guess it makes equal sense to cry about possibly keeping a spot open for one?I didn’t not know what stupefies me more. You’re confidence in Barger or confidence in the FO to give up on IKF/Biggio/Espinal
Even if I can get past this clusterfuck disaster at 3B they seem to view the same shitty crop as their OF4.
Fucking embarrassing

and stop being such a fucking asshole. Barger and Orelvis are legit prospects.
I have said multiple times that it's been a disappointing offseason. But I'm sure as fuck not waiting to fill out my roster until after spring training has already started because Scott Boras tells me to. Matt Chapman just isn't that great of a hitter. Stop pretending that he is irreplaceable. They have 2 years at best in their window and even if I can call Barger a legit prospect that doesn’t mean he’s ready to make an impact at the MLB level in 2024
Defending this offseason and these guys is insane and I’d rather be an asshole than a contrarian to the point of lunacy
