OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

The Jays have the second worst run differential in the AL. 5th worst in baseball. Their Pythagorean record is 14-24. And the end of the series will be the 1/4 point in the season, so while it’s early, it’s not that early.

Fried got pulled after 6 innings of no-no 2 starts ago. Hopefully he can stay in and finish it off this time.

Oh shit, he's already at 109 pitches. (100 pitches in 6 innings on 04/29)

Shame. I thought only the Blue Jays limited pitcher outings, while simultaneously having all their starters near the top of innings pitched rankings.

I don't even get why he'd do this. Literally no upaide to this move, only downside. Just making things more difficult for himself.

Like, does George Springer have photos or something?

Every interaction i've ever seen with Springer indicates he's a team guy to the nth degree. I cant imagine he'd have a problem moving down the lineup, he fucking moved Bo, why not George?

Jansen ( who is also raking) getting an offday for Vogelbach ( who Schneider doesn't trust to PH for like, IKF) is also not only starting, but in the middle of the god damn order to boot.

Im not sure if its Schneider or the front office " analytics" that are telling John that these are the matchups/decisions to go with, but it's fucking mental.

While im on my bender. I absolutely abhor, that these morons are allowing for people like Jeff Blair and other crotchety boomer baseball morons to take the shitty job this front office has done and declare war on analytics in general, because that's what this front office presents themselves as. No, these guys just suck at analytics, that doesn't mean they aren't a useful primary tool of any reasonable front office in 2024.
