OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Was all organized and ready to watch the game then found out it was one of those Apple TV nights. (Whose bright idea was this)?

Oh well, guess I’ll find something else to occupy me for a couple of hours.
 
Could probably get something decent for Bassit at the deadline. He’s a reliable mid-rotation guy at worst, would be top-2 on a couple of contenders. And he has another year left on his deal.
 
Just booked tickets to the Jays game at Camden Yards a couple of weeks from now. Haven't been there since Cal Ripken played. First Jays game this year.

Anyone's been there lately? any tips?
 
So with 2 HRs today and with him getting his wRC+ up to 96 and an fWAR of 1.2, do you think the Jays can actually trade Springer now at the deadline?

Probably not without eating a lot of salary.

Springer’s wRC+ each year with the Jays:
2021: 140
2022: 133
2023: 104
2024: 96

And he still makes $24.2M this year, in 2025 and in 2026.
 
I wonder why it’s so quiet on the rumour front? Trade deadline is in 5 days, the Jays are miles out of contention (they would draft 4th overall if the season ended today), and there are a bunch of pending FA that should attract some interest.

If these guys sit on their hands again…
