These guys should’ve been fired years ago. Here we are looking at a really lengthy rebuild right in the face because of inept management.

Last year was pretty awful but this one has surpassed it.

It's probably because they had a 101 wRC+ last year and appear to have done nothing to improve on that. Steamer thinks they're going to be better just because...which is cool and all, but taking the under on a Springer 109 wRC+ bounceback or Kirk putting up a 120 isn't a crazy position to take.

Fwiw, Steamer is projecting almost the entire lineup to well outperform their 2023-24 combined wRC+. A few guys I see the argument for (Vlad, Bo) but the rest seems pretty fucking optimistic.

Yes, but better than his combined 2 yr wRC+, which is what I said. Vlad's 2 yr wRC+ is 142, and Bo's is 105. There's a good argument for both being better to significantly better than that in 2025 imo.

Who said anything about biased? I think they're optimistic and will turn out wrong, sure. But I didn't say a word about bias.

The 10th best offense banner will look nice beside the wild card losers ones though.
