OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

I didn’t think I could dislike a Toronto sports figure more then Lee stempniak but the two headed monster in charge of the beejers have done it.
 
His projected wrc+ is 116. But his defense is probably worse than Santander. So you may as well just sign Alonso, and at least you have 2 big power bats hitting right after Vlad.

yeah but the projections don't realize he's a lazy piece of shit coming off a contract year.
 
Profar is "fine" but i too am unthrilled with a Profar/Varsho/Springer OF. It cant hit very well.

Profar is also labeled a versatile UTIL player, but he sucks defensively so you dont even gain anything really shifting Santander to DH.

Just sign Alonso. It has a much bigger impact
 
Profar was pretty good a couple years ago in San Diego too I recall….then I think he signed late the next year, and never quite got going.

Vaguely recall he might have finished strong after being traded, but I may be mistaken on that.

Just to reiterate what I said before, the career numbers aren't great. But he was excellent last year and the underlying #'s suggest it was legit. And the projections systems agree.

If he could get anywhere close to last year's .380 OBP, would be a real nice addition to any lineup. And the fact that both he and Santander are switch-hitters would provide a lot of lineup flexibility.

Of course he could regress. But I am intrigued.
