OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

It's almost criminal that the Mariners and Pirates are not after him. Both teams are in dire need of a mid-lineup masher. Of course, both of their owners are cheap as fuck.

Alonso would be a cool signing. Adding nearly 80+ homeruns in an offseason is exactly what they need. Though I still think Bergman is the better fit here. Wonder what the money will look for both deals.

End of the day, i think he probably goes back to the Mets.

I dont think Jesse Winker prevents it unless some non Met team gives him enough to not take Cohen's original deal.

I suspect the Jays prefer Profar at less money.

Shi is also saying any moves going forward require ownership approval.

No player wants to play for this front office, it’s crystal clear around the league. Obviously, we’ll still sign players because they have little options and we have money, but most players have seen and heard enough of this front office to want to come here.

Sign me up for Scherzer and Alonso. Don’t stop there tho. Add another BP arm. Add a lefty?

They are literally getting a buy yourself out of trouble card this year if this happens. Resign Vlad and Bo, make some noise in the playoffs and who knows maybe a contract extension is in the works for Shatkins.

Yeah, just do it.

Could make a pretty good case to ownership right now that a huge expenditure right now would be well worth it given the kind of money they could lose over the next few years without it.
