OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

yeah the umping was pretty bad here. i don't even mind having a "wide" strike zone and calling a couple of balls strikes as a result, but then why 3 pitches later is a clear strike called a ball?

Too bad we couldn't pull this one out, but that was a great series for the Jays.

If this is the brand that they play, and it's results are a 100 wRC+, they're cooked.

Worse, they're a 100 wRC+ with a .310babip. 30th in ISO. Start praying for those doubles to start turning into dingers bud.

Lights out pitching with a pop gun offence led by a few that nobody expected to lead

Until the big bats wake up this will end badly

MLB is too long a season to punch your way out winning 2-1 and 3-2 all season .

Dingers will come but too often in my Jays fandom, team has been swinging for the fences team. From entertainment point of view , I just find this brand more entertaining to watch.

I like Will Wagner and Alan Roden fine, but they really dont offer much power, and they are the prototype of the offensive player this front office creams for. I dont think thats a good thing.

You cant survive on just contact skills.

Vlad and Tony hitting dingers would indeed help though

imo there's no sense building a Kansas City offence with a New York payroll.

You can still play fast and aggressive offensively while being a top power hitting club.
