OT: True Crime

We’ve had a missing person here on PEI, and they just broke the news that they’ve arrested two people in relation to her disappearance…

Police said they were arrested under Section 182(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada on charges of interfering with a dead body or human remains.

Police said Kneebone has still not been found, but their investigation leads them to believe she has died.

"What our investigation has provided us [with] is the probability that that has occurred," Charlottetown Police Chief Brad MacConnell said.

Wonder if that charge points to a Steven Avery burn pit situation, and they charge them with this until they get a positive ID via dental records?

All this talk of JFK made me think of my favourite (aka only one I know of) song about his assassination.

Any other fans early 2000s East Coast indie rock? The frontman of Bishop Allen was also one of the founders of Sparknotes.

he’s got some hang-up with me, this isn’t the first time he’s followed me around in some thread he wasn’t even taking part in.

other than that, no clue…majority of people here I can peg the name to the “person”….don’t recall this character at all tho.

Only thing that came to mind was the guy that you guys used to bag on about wearing eyeshadow?….Or the guy who came around claiming porn was the devil etc?….but I think that was maybe Jeremy?

that’s not this guy is it?

we have a poster with a special needs child who has asked that people not use that word here, that's all that manny was referring to.

seems like a strange overreaction from montana, to be honest.

unless there's other stuff i'm not aware of.

It became quite personal all of a sudden. I think I’ve mocked him for being a hotspurs fan before, but I thought that was in good fun. I guess not.

My last post is not in any way directed at him, and yet he responded to it to insult me and let everyone know that he has me on ignore. Ok. Cool. I think we can all move on now. Hope Montana has gotten the personal attacks out of his system (I know I did!😀)

nm, just checked…..he’s now said that word more in this thread than I ever have. (0)

so yeah, get fucked.

you "redacted" the word if that makes any difference. you're free to say whatever you want of course, and may not even have been aware of that request. i'm just saying that's likely what he was referring to.

lol, sorry I’m not banning the word “redacted”….if you two are filling in something offensive, that’s your crime, not mine.

insensitive fucks.

The controversy continues to this day...

Before his death in 1997, Secret Service agent Sam Kinney reported that he himself found the bullet and placed it on a stretcher. Does that mean that two bullets were found by two different agents, or are two guys taking credit for the same event? Apparently the so-called "magic bullet" is magical because it's everywhere and nowhere all at once. How did it supposedly fall out of Governor Connelly's leg and on to a stretcher at Parkland Hospital if this guy says he found it in the back seat of the limo (behind and to the left of Connolly) where Jackie Kennedy was sitting? Somebody is lying and my money is on the Warren Commission, which was basically a conclusion in search of a barely plausible explanation.

I posted this a while back in the thread before it was derailed, (by a lone nut, ironically)…and CH posted a great Vanity Fair article written by an author who knows the agent in question. Good read.

I thought I did a decent job getting the thread back on track actually, with that (quite good if you haven’t listened to it) JFK song. But then the personal attacks started to flow, and haven’t stopped. Profoundly weird stuff.

Anyway, also on the true crime theme, an acquaintance of mine hosts a true crime podcast that some of you nerds might be interested in:

He’s based in Ottawa and does really deep dives into unsolved crimes, mostly from the US but also Canada and Europe. There’s an insane amount of content, no idea how he does this and also holds down a full time job.

Should mention the tv show Only Murders in the Building, perfect for this thread. Three people start a podcast after there's a murder in their New York City apartment building.

Season 1 was pretty solid, but season 2 is excellent and very entertaining (at least through the first 4 episodes, anyway). I guess there's a 3rd season as well.

Can never go wrong with Steve Martin and Martin Short to begin with!
