Harris vanished from her home in Henderson, Nevada, on May 4, 2005. She was last seen at a local bank, making a deposit. Her rental car was later found deserted at the southern tip of the valley, and there had been no activity on her credit cards. In November that year, a feature about Harris’ disappearance was aired on America’s Most Wanted.

Harris’s terrifying murder left law enforcement in two states baffled, eventually leading the case to go cold.

Four years prior to the New York murders, Heuermann and his wife, Asa Ellerup, purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium in Nevada in April 2005.

Fascinating watching ^this 2022 Netflix doc, and then following it up with PBS Frontline’s 2011 episode on the same topic…..and how each handle similar evidence & information, particularly what they chose to put great focus on, and what they chose to ignore.

…both can be watched in two and a half hours total, so not too much to digest both.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just finished this. It's crazy... wow.

Thanks for The Phantom suggestion too. Really good as well.
That guy is such an amazing speaker. And I assued how it was filmed he was in a different location.
The Phantom is rather sad given what happened. That 911 tape clearly tells you 2 differnet sets of officers were chasing 2 differnt guys.

Yarris is an incredible storyteller. I could listen to him all day.

guess i should mention that one of the best podcasts i've ever listened to was Serial Season 1, which tells the true-crime story of Adnan Syed. Total "page-turner" of a podcast, burned through all the episodes in a few days as it's so well made, and a fascinating story. Significant developments after it came out so be sure to google after listening if you're interested.

Highly recommended.

The plot thickens…..the woman’s ex-husband was also invited to this dinner, but had to cancel last minute. He had a mystery ailment himself last year tho, that nearly killed him and required multiple intestine surgeries.

When asked where she got the mushrooms she said from a shop…when asked what shop, she said ‘no comment.’ lol

…..also police have retrieved a dehydrator from the dump, that she may have thrown out since the poisoning.

Oh, and neither her nor her two sons ate any of the meal she prepared for the others……and in the video above, she’s constantly wiping away tears that don’t appear to exist.

….7% of gun murders are done by women, but then they make up 40% of all fatal poisoners. 😳

All an unfortunate coincidence, I'm sure.

Funny mushroom story: My sister hates mushrooms. Doesn't find them in the least bit interesting, edible, nothing. Hates everything about them.

Still, for some reason, took a class in college or something, might have even been an online course, who knows, about mushrooms. Wasn't a long class, didn't change anything for her.

Decided many years later (I'm talking close to a decade later) that she should try eating some mushrooms she found in the woods that "kinda looked like" (her words, not mine) the safe ones she saw in her class.

Needless to say, she had a very rough 48 or so hours.
