plus everything else...and they were not in a spot where they could up their prices enough to make it work

I expect a lot of local restaurants/bars to close in '24 as reality catches up to their dream. Burger/fried chicken/pizza joints will be fine as their margins are pretty sweet

The density of Toronto hides the reality in most of the rest of the province. Non corporate chain places barely exist anymore.

Northwood was excellent. And he's a super nice dude. That's sad. Lived right down the street when it opened.

But that's crazy that the rent is up that high in that location.
