OT: World Politics

You were the one who claimed Artemvosk

Nice. Do you refer to all the towns and cities of Ukraine by their soviet appointed names Comrade? You realize the soviets casually erased 300+ years of history when they did their whole renaming spree, right? The town was Bakhmut before the soviets renamed it.

I showed you Zelenskyy was sending the developmentally delayed to the front

You may have shown isolated proof of over zealous recruiters skirting the rules (I've seen a few isolated stories since the start of the war of people with mental illness *depression, etc* being deemed fit for combat despite recruiting regulations stating otherwise.) You didn't show "Zelensky" doing this because as a matter of law it doesn't exist.

Where you got this bullshit from is Russian Telegram channels who claimed that because disabled Ukrainians were being trained as Sappers, they were being sent to the front as military deminers, which is bullshit. The Ukies have created training programs and training vouchers (so the training is fully paid) for disabled people who are capable of doing tasks as part of a demining crew in non combat areas.

the truth is always so much less exciting than the right-wing/Russian disinformation talking point

Hes only back so he can radicalize others with his tales of shopping carts with financial incentive to be returned and groceries that only cost 40% of your income.

Fun story, one of the most ghetto shopping experiences I've had in my life was at one of the Walmarts in San Juan a few months ago. I had flash backs while watching Tuckers piece because he was so fucking impressed with the magnetic escalator for shopping carts. The wal mart I was at had one (also super common in Mexico but I digress). One of the top 5 grimiest places I've shopped in my entire life.

The best grocery and department stores I’ve been to are in Shanghai. The high end places blow anything in North America (or Russia) out of the water.

And then you can hop on a train for a couple of hours and hit up an outdoor wet market where the bat cages are perched on top of the raccoon cages and you can watch your dinner get skinned alive if you like.

I’d like to see Tucker try to spend a few days touring rural Russia. He would probably die.

Hard to fault a guy from dysentery getting him though...

More than one-fifth of Russian households do not have access to indoor plumbing, according to official statistics obtained by the RBC news website on Tuesday.
Russia leads the developed world with the worst sanitation record, according to the London-based WaterAid NGO. A 2012 estimate citing official data placed the number of Russians whose households are only equipped with outhouses at 35 million, or roughly a quarter of the population.

Don't book your flights just yet folks. What if I told you the Loblaws on Lower Jarvis right here in Toronto has a SHOPPING CART ESCALATOR I SWEAR TO GOD START THE CAR.
you haven’t lived till you’ve been to the loblaw at bayview village.

We had one of those escalators at rexdale plaza to the underground parking level...but magnets might not have been invented yet, lol. You were supposed to hang on to your cart for dear life or ride it down the ramp I guess.
My optometrist was in the lower level there
