A whole bunch more activity from “Russian” “volunteers” in Belgorod region.

Apparently another new incursion, a firefight elsewhere, and talks of a referendum to establish the Belgorod People’s Republic.

Brilliant trolling and I imagine the opening salvo in the planned counter.
 
Explosions in a few other places on RF territory too.. Kursk, Berdyansk, etc. Combo of shaping and sewing confusion about true intentions?

Drone attack on wealthy Moscow enclave was likely an attempt to draw AA resources away from border? Or maybe just trolling.

Brilliant strategy if true.

Russia’s indiscriminately bombing regular people in their homes, shopping malls, hospitals & schools in Kyiv.

Meanwhile the only places in Moscow that have seemingly been hit by Ukraine are the Kremlin and where the oligarchs live.

I think there's a psyop aspect to it as well. Moscow was already heavily, heavily defended by AA but most of it was aimed at infrastructure and government (Kremlin/Putin/Etc) protection. Forcing AA assets to defend wealthy neighbourhoods is definitely a drain on Russian capabilities and speaks to a pretty deep understanding of how their regime works. Putin & the oligarch class hold each other up.

Cause frustration with Putin in the oligarch class and you start to create the conditions needed in Russia for internal regime change.
 
a little dissappointed that other sectors of russia haven't tried to take advantage of the distracted military.
