They shouldn't give Aljo the option to continue after that blatant illegal strike.

That's the stupidest illegal strike I've seen in a looong time. They need to call this.

Having 30 pounds on him helps. His takedown defence against fighters his size is outstanding. This has always been the book on Izzy, get him to the ground.

it’s been a long while since someone has really tried to take him down - has he beaten an ufc pressure wrestler type? Can’t remember
 
3-2 Polish Hammer. Won 2 late rounds with wrestling and just had too much size and strength. Didn't do much with the time on the ground until the last 5-10 seconds of the fight, but MMA judging is what it is.

There aren't any pressure wrestlers in the division. But Gastelum and Whitaker are both good wrestlers, and tried to take Izzy down.
