Pierre-Luc Dubois Thread

Another thing to consider is that the Jets will probably be tearing the current roster apart this off-season and perhaps there's a bigger deal to be made. Like Habsy said on another thread, PLD + Morrissey would be two amazingly good pick-up's depending on what we had to give up in return.

8 mil for 55-60 points on this team is dumb money for PLD

Cole and Nick in that range is fine , need better than that on the top 6

Can get cheaper without a major drop off

RFA for 1 year and then they get a first at the deadline for him

I think he gets moved this summer and inks but not with Montreal

Well he did Sergachev for Drouin so yeah, probably (Probably? Definitely!)

But as Bergy himself would tell you, "When someone offers you Pierre Luc Dubois, you don't say no!"

And Bergy's plan was to make a move on Columbus' 4th pick to get him but it didn't happen.

I would take PLD if offered him now . . . for a second round pick, Dvorak and a meh prospect.

I'm using the point share statistics, feel free to provide your own. It's not unrealistic to imagine that adding a player like PLD (or any 60+pts C/W) might adds up to 3 more wins over a season.

Agreed, although you're on the low end of his production. He's been more 60-70 lately. Let's settle for 55-70.

Wait... why? PLD has been producing same or better than Nick , and Nick is more useful than Cole. Why is it fine for those 2 but not for PLD? You lost me.

Why is Suzuki ok in that range and PLD isn't?

Nick and Cole in that range is enough for now on a rebuilding team

If your gonna drop 8 on PLD , get Pegula drunk and tell Dahlin to go to Montreal for 10-11 mil with no compensation

Team needs a better option , need a star to compliment those 2

Horvat , Miller , PLD , Forsberg are nice players but none move a needle

PLD is a better fit for Jersey who is built to win now not the Habs maybe built to win in 2026

This is simply a forced moved and not the time regardless of what market value is
