I agree.
Wait until he becomes a UFA, and if he doesn't end up signing in Montreal, we will know his true desire to play there. I'm not giving up a first round pick and a young D-man for him one year before free agency.
At this point, this is indeed the best take. If it's true that his life outside the rink and getting close to his family is his priority VS money, let's see if this is true next summer if he goes UFA and accept a bellow 8 millions$ contract for us (preferably closer to 6 millions).
