Playoffs 2022

They have one more year. If 34 doesn't sign an extension next summer, that future dynasty is done. You can't even trade him at that point because he is too good. He will walk as a UFA in 2 years.

The Leafs were very healthy this year. It wont happen again.

Yeah he might be the first guy to leave a 110 points team for a chance at winning.
 
From someone who admittedly doesn’t follow Leafs on a nightly basis, Nylander clearly stands out as the weakest link (as Habsy stated) + poker chip to acquire that mussing element (legit top pairing Dman).

Leafs need a top pairing RDman to play w Reilly - who was the best Leaf player game in / game out this series IMO.

I just don’t believe GM Harry Potter has it in him to deal Nylander…and will likely revert to comparing current Leafs team to the underachieving Caps teams, thus will go after Trotz as the easy way out solution

Trotz wont last a year in Toronto

He got canned for his rigid style , team is too fragile for him

The NHLPA will use 34 to set the next upper bar in salaries

Kane/JT broke the 10 mil barrier

97 took it to 12.5

34 takes it to 15 , so the Leafs on July 1 next go 8x 15 to force him to stay ......if he wants to stay in Canada
