I like the Blues as a dark horse (is that term still permitted to be used?) but probably Devils or NYI, and maybe Rangers. Flyers make little sense for him hockey wise, at least short term.
I don't believe that's the case.

If the Panthers' 2022 1st was top 10 then the Sabres would have owned FLA's 2023 1st and we'd have gotten their 2024 unprotected 1st. That didn't happen, so we have FLA's unprotected 2023 1st.
Hard to see them going from 120 points to bottom 10 with pretty much the same team. I don't care to protect it.
We could do like for Dvorak, the best of the 2 picks but top-10 protected.

Intentional tanking like this is part of the reason I've gotten more & more into the idea of abolishing the draft altogether and replacing it with an auction.
Let it be a true open market without recompensing teams that tank.
