2011- BruinsWho won without star talent
Depth is great and you must have it but talent trumps all .
Who won a cup without one PPG player ?
Eichel had a ppg2011- Bruins
2019 - STL
2023 - VGK
Neither Eichel or ROR were PPG but both were closeEichel had a ppg
ROR was very close and wins MVP
What team had this heading to the finals
# 1C with 1 goal
Nobody came close to a PPG
Nobody had double digit scoring
Poor secondary scoring help
44 goals for entire playoffs
Near zero offence from the D
Playoff push is a bit misleading. We're 13th in the conference, which is not unexpected. I'm a bit surprised at the amount of points given our injuries, but we're about where I figured we would be. But this is a parity league, we're just no longer a bottom 5 team in the league. Two reasons the playoff push isn't as annoying this year:
- Most of the improvement is from Slaf, Caufield (who was injured last year) and surprises from prospects like Struble and Roy instead of plugs like Harvey-Pinard and Belzile
- After Celebrini, there isn't really anyone who sticks out and is really worth tanking for (and Celebrini is no Bedard either)
Jack had 26 points in 22 games ...1.18 PPGNeither Eichel or ROR were PPG but both were close
As I said, it’s team GF/GA/differential, and coming close to maintaining that level in the playoffs, which seems to be consistent across Cup winners going back 15-years
How you achieve those milestones, is a stylistic conversation

Marchy 25 in 22 ....1.13 PPG
Vegas`s top 5 scorers outscored our entire 2019 roster
For clarity 13th in the conf & 4pts from 8thPlayoff push is a bit misleading. We're 13th in the conference, which is not unexpected. I am talking about PPG in the playoffsWhy are you comparing to 2019, what does that have to do with anything. Bos, STL, VGK did not have any PPG regular season players on their playoff roster.
His progression is the biggest "surprise" for me. I know he was a relatively high pick (for a goalie) by Florida but I didn't think he'd reach this level, and I think he's still improving.Progress is good
Slaf and the yutes are much improved
We have our goalie of the future

That's all you need to be today as a goalie because you basically have to be at least 6'3" like he is to play as one in the NHL. That's why I'm not sold on Devon Levi, or our guy Fowler. 6'1'' is almost small today for an NHL 'keeper. It looks like he’s playing within his abilities. No crazy Tim Thomas or Hasek contortionist stuff. He’s sound.
but doesn't he make up for 6'1 by being 6'6 across like CartmanThat's all you need to be today as a goalie because you basically have to be at least 6'3" like he is to play as one in the NHL. That's why I'm not sold on Devon Levi, or our guy Fowler. 6'1'' is almost small today for an NHL 'keeper.
not sure if that tall but they are bigger for sureLCS can back me up here but most professional soccer goalies today are in the 6’5” - 6’7” range, aren’t they?
Fowler is 225 pounds , Levi is barely 185That's all you need to be today as a goalie because you basically have to be at least 6'3" like he is to play as one in the NHL. That's why I'm not sold on Devon Levi, or our guy Fowler. 6'1'' is almost small today for an NHL 'keeper.
Fowler's 225 because he's overweight.Fowler is 225 pounds , Levi is barely 185
