Not getting them by trading Moneyhands et alPlenty of interest in high picks
Monahan for Rutger McGroarty would be excite me to no end.
A more realistic option, though?
Monahan for our 2nd round pick (originally traded to Arizona for Dvorak) and the rights to Dmitry Rashevsky.
Hence the Knies type approach..Why not flip the script a bit? The Habs have a f@ck ton of draft picks, why not add one with Monahan to get an interesting player that would otherwise not be available?
(Of course, the Jets are not short of picks for the next couple of years, so maybe not a good example.)
If a team like Winnipeg is going for it, acquiring picks is meaningless to them. Especially so that we can get a better prospect from them.
l'm always interested in first round picks.Zero interest in 20-something 1st round picks, Habs need NHL ready assets..
Your not getting Barlow for MonyWhat worries me about Barlow is whether or not he was a flash in the pan. I don't know if he's injured or if there are other circumstances going on with him, though.
Winnipeg would likely use picks to acquireNot getting them by trading Moneyhands et al
Your not getting Barlow for Mony
You pick the appropriate name: the targets have clearly become the “pousse caca 3”: Leafs, Canes, NJD
Chevaldayoff is a miser, as he needs to be as GM of that small market team.Winnipeg would likely use picks to acquire
Calm your horses about a “run at a wildcard spot.” Not there yet.Chevaldayoff is a miser, as he needs to be as GM of that small market team.
A Winter-peg, late 2nd round pick for Monahan is a complete & utter waste - he’s better off guiding the young Habs team in what’s shaping up to be a run at wildcard spot
Agree - should have a better idea in 9-days where things stand thoughCalm your horses about a “run at a wildcard spot.” Not there yet.
After we win tonight, we are in it. We need the experience over getting a good prospect. The experience of losing in the playoffs is unteachable. It's not something anyone on the team has ever experienced before, EVER.Calm your horses about a “run at a wildcard spot.” Not there yet.
