Or Struble?Jets pick, a 2nd and Harris.
If that’s not enough, to hell with them.

Or Struble?
For someone like Zegras, sure, but I wouldn’t just give either away.Yeah. I think they are both trade fodder, frankly.
It's not. Harris is too vanilla to have any trade value. Plus they want a tough team, they'll want Xhekaj.Jets pick, a 2nd and Harris.

There's no protection or caveats on that pick?Wouldn’t touch the Calgary ‘25 pick quite yet.
if we trade both, we're racist....Yeah. I think they are both trade fodder, frankly.

Yeah I suspect it will be a very high pick. Hopefully not protected.Wouldn’t touch the Calgary ‘25 pick quite yet.
No fucken way that pick is in playWouldn’t touch the Calgary ‘25 pick quite yet.

exactly , fuck emThen I’d hang up.
I thought we had Calgary`s pick only ?it’s confusing but I think if Calgary sucks we end up with their Florida pick… so not really that juicy
In that case I don't care if we use it to sweeten a package because it's definitely going to be Florida's pick which will be around 30th overall. From what I can tell, if Calgary’s first-round pick is in the top 10 and Florida’s isn’t, we get the Florida pick. If both picks are not in the top 10, then the Habs get the better 2025 first-round pick.
It's complicated and you can read all about it here

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we're getting a juicy pick.
No that’s right - Habs aren’t getting a lottery pick out of itFrom what I can tell, if Calgary’s first-round pick is in the top 10 and Florida’s isn’t, we get the Florida pick. If both picks are not in the top 10, then the Habs get the better 2025 first-round pick.

So is it 2025 and not this yearYeah, but I think that might be mitigated? If Calgary is mediocre, maybe we get the higher pick - but not if they truly stink.
The rationale for waiting is to get a clearer idea of what you have. If HuGo doesn’t care and they have cooked up a good trade, then yeah, it can be moved.
