Rumors: 2024-25 Season

They are run like the cheap organization they are and burning a year? Omg!
Nah - Chevaldayoff’s doing the right thing, slowly cultivating his draft picks, and historically can’t criticize… Jets have done a tremendous job developing their prospects.

Unfortunately for Jets, the playing field has shifted below their feet, and NCAA prospects have been brought to the realization they’ve got negotiation power they can exercise with enough leverage to firmly grip NHL management by the balls

For McGroarty this is all about $$$$$$ - building the case for big increa$e 2nd contract followed by big time UFA contract payout.

It’s bu$ine$$ not per$onal…

Time for the owners to re write that one with the next cba

If the issue is burning a year of the contract, which is usually the main preoccupation of NCAA players and their agents, then Winnipeg already burnt that boat. It seems so petty, and would have been low cost for the Jets. They were comfortably qualified for the playoffs and it would have made no difference.

But, maybe it was something else that irked them that was not petty. Might be a red flag there.
Or maybe, just maybe....

The Jets are run by a bunch of fucking morons.

Chevy has done well over a decade in a small market

However bending over a bit for some players is not that big a deal

NCAA top players get those few games to burn a year .....just follow the trend

Chevy has bigger issues like trading Ehlers and selling tickets
