What do they have to trade after being raided by the Blues. Savoie? 1st rd pick starting in 2025. [Edit: it’s 2026, not 2025.]

I agree. Their picks will be low and Savoie is not a great prize. Inflated point totals due to a great cast of teammates in his D+2. Plus he's basically a local kid. So they'll probably want to keep him. So yeah, don't know how they're going to do this. Their prospect list is uber-thin.

Sam O'Reilly's their most interesting asset. They don't have a first in 2025 and Savoie's not a prospect that would really interest me.
They need MM badly but have squat to give us

A lot of time between now and the playoffs. Also, team management would have to be suicidal to tear down a team that went to Game 7 of the finals 3 months ago. When you're that close, you run it back, you don't blow it up. The future is now for the Oilers. If any team needs to blow things up it's the Leafs, who have one series win in the last 8 years. That is a team in desperate need of a tear down. But once again, what have they done? Fired the coach, passed the C from one playoff underachiever to another, and added crappy free agents.

But, no way no how. And certainly not with their crap prospect group.
They will be in trouble with 4-5 players eating 50 % of the cap , like the Leafs
