Tech Thread

I created an Instagram account once that I have barely thought about since, but I don't recall it having any connection to Facebook or personal details.
 
The saddest thing is Musk took over twitter convinced it was absolutely biased towards corpoliberal propaganda....so he tore it apart trying to root out that bias, only to learn there was none whatsoever (and jf anything, it bent over backwards trying to accomodate right wing 'truthtellers')....and instead of seeing that and realizing he was wrong, the genius richest man in the world decided to double down on his false narrative, probably convinced that if he just kept digging deeper and ripping more of it apart he would finally find that ingrained bias that he just knows is there.

When in reality these dummies live in an online bubble of incel and bot followers bulshittosphere that cheer on every idiotic 'truthtelling' post they make, convincing them that they are the voice of the silenced real people. It's so fucked up and ass backwards.

And again, to drive the point home—when you look at the replies to that tweet, it’s blue checks as far as the eye can see, saying variations of “the subscription is worth it for the features you get”, “I’m supporting Elon’s fight for free speech”, “my tweets are finally getting the views and attention they deserve” (said by tweets with thousands of views and no likes), “elitist”, “lol, cry harder lib”, etc, etc.
 
Honestly, I think a lot of this is just Elon fundamentally misunderstanding what most people used Twitter for.

Elon has always used Twitter for shit-posting with randoms and getting validation from them and the amount of attention his tweets got. And being a malignant narcissist, he can’t imagine that’s not how the vast majority of users want to use the site.
