Here's when AI will reach a natural and proper tipping point:

Machines are real good at doing tedious tasks a million times with a .0001% error rate. Machines are real good at doing physical tasks outside of the boundaries our meat bags are good at. Design better and more advanced AI integrated machines to do all that shit that we either don't want to do, shouldn't do, or can't do. Stop trying to make machines do shit they're not good at (anything creative).

People don't like doing tedious shit, they like doing creative shit. Lean into that and AI will become massively useful, massively popular and will change the fucking world.

Put another way. I don't want a machine to take photos and write for me so I can spend more time shopping, cleaning around the house, etc. I want a machine that shops for me and cleans for me so I have more time to take photos and write.
