It honestly feels like these dickheads in the media are just too jealous of Willy's looks and want to take him down. There's no other explanation for why he gets trashed. They didn't like him for that reason to begin with, then he held out and gave them fuel, then he came back and couldn't keep up last year which somewhat vindicated them for a moment, and now he's embarrassing all of them which makes them hate him more than ever. Add to that that he's a Leaf, and the guy is probably an inch away from getting crucified.

It's not complicated. There was near universal condemnation of the pick when it was made (largely because it was a skill over size pick). It's been a non-stop effort to validate that silly view ever since.
