EDIT: Although honestly I'm not sure Sandin is the answer on the 2nd pair either. Dermott is underwhelming but I'm not all that confident that Sandin is ahead at this stage.

I think Keefer feels more confident in Marincin getting stuck on a shift against Sid/Geno instead of Liljegren. As much as we hate him, he ain't bad defensively.

Ah good point, I shouldn't have assumed it would be Sandin-Barrie. It won't be. I bet you Keefe is more comfortable with Dermott-Marincin. Sandin and Barrie against Sid or Geno seems like a disaster waiting to happen.

Yeah same. If he had named trade targets that made sense, I'd be a bit less skeptical. One of Manson or Severson sure looks like it would make sense. Pretty close to ideal partners for Rielly

small note - Koshan corrected himself to point out that it was dermott on the right side of that pairing, not Marincin.

just to keep note of when thinking about future implications - dermott on the right side is still a bit of a thing.
