The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Remember this was not Kyle's first choice. Although his first choice would've been a bigger disaster. At least they got kerf out of this deal.

I feel like Dumba would be a disaster too. Maybe you guys should give Buff a look. He might not be Weber in the room but he should command some rispek and dude can still play
 
I dont know enough about Brodie to comment but from those that do see him on a regular basis seem think he would be a good fit
 
Leaf fans are good fans. We gave Larry Murphy a lot of rope, but he just looked, to borrow a word, Preston employed today, he looked atrocious, on our back end.

I admit, I was one of the fans who booed the fuck out of the guy.

Did he go on to do some great stuff? Remarkably, yes he did, but he was bad, no, he was atrocious.

Toronto is a very tough city to play in And as 1967 gets farther and farther in our past, it probably gets that much harder.

But its a great city. We just got a tough crowd now, its pretty bitter for the most part.

I have to still say though, Dubas/Shanny have constructed a very entertaining team.

Washington diddled around for years, till they figured it all out

I will tell you this though. Whoever coaches this Leaf franchise to a Stanley Cup, will become a GOD in Toronto

I like Keefe, hope its him. But fate can be cruel, might not be him.

But Jankowski would have been the longterm center that they got in the deal. For me the center was always the more important piece. Brodie/Barrie are rentals. Kyle got lucky that Naz refused Calgary.

If Im dealing Marner Im looking at someone like Tkachuk in return.

Drives play and brings an element we dont have much of in the top 6
 
Those Tkachuk kids are incredible. I don't think you can risk trading one of them. Very underrated family. Has to be the greatest NHL family of all time now.

Back in the day I had to hear Sutter this and Sutter that, but they were grinders for the most part, cept for the oldest one, he had some skill.

But these Tkachuk's have serious talent and jam.
 
Last night was a make or break and I hope its a make. For the guys.

Andersen looked like the great Berlin Wall for quite some time.

He was unbeatable. But then, a puck got past him and it all sorta went downhill.

But this is a potentially great team. Hope they bounce back and learn and earn.

12 hours ago you said the fix was in and the Leafs were winning the Cup this year.

So what's this now about it might not be Keefe?
 
He'll lose it just in time for the playoffs.

If we was going to will a team to the Cup, he'd have done it once for you by now.
