I'm wondering if they're using Mr Litorus as a legit source of rumours these days. Anything to get those deadline day clicks.

There is no universe where the Habs get value for him in a trade, or where the Leafs will have any interest in acquiring him and that albatross contract.
 
Thats not far fetched to believe

If a deal with Van is struck however I suspect they flip the return for something else. Just dont see anything they have thats a benefit to us

Stecher is probably better than Barrie defensively tbh. It's a low bar but I think he reaches it. Offensively it makes them worse though, yeah. Not sure I care. At least get something for Barrie. Salvage the Kadri trade. Kerfoot for Kadri is a good, not great deal but if they can flip Barrie for real assets it may become a great deal in the end.

Kerfoot, is a pretty cool player though. I loved Kadri, always, but Kerfoot alone is a pretty nice chess piece.
 
Is Stecher even involved in this? Seems to me that "Trade" was made up on TSN radio by Carlo and people started to run with it that same day as fact.
 
Stecher is not really a Dubas player, at least based on what we've see thus far.

I can't see that swap happening.

On the other hand, if Vancouver will cough up a 1st+ package for Barrie, we need to think about that for a guy we're obviously not re-signing.

Barrie wasn't a Dubas player either. Sometimes you have to take whats available. It may not always be what you want.

Edit: Ceci wasn't a Dubas player either
