The Leafs winning the Cup wouldn't surprise me at all. The talent is there, we seem to have a serviceable, upbeat backup.
All the ingredients are there, and yes, sports is totally fixed. Unfortunately, Floydian isn't here to back up that claim. But he heard it that night when I was siting with the nephew of the Leafs owner.
And it went exactly as the guy predicted it would.
Course Floydian and I were acting like total fans.
We were both stunned to see this guys prediction about us beating a far, far, far superior team, in seven games.
I get the Super Bowl winner every year. This year it came down to the wire. I usually get it a week in advance.
Its on record here somewhere. Course I got lambasted for it. Go figure. Lol. Some Sheep have bad tempers.

Habs were going to the Cup before Kreider took Price out on purpose. Yes, he was.
He's a damn sight better than Andersen or Campbell I'll tell you that much. Probably more important $10M+ than Tavares to his team too.

People have forgotten all 4 WC teams won the 1st round last year. NHL is not that predictable. 8-10 teams can win the cup including the Leafs

I will laugh so hard if after last night Vancouver actually decided that Barrie was a great get AND to lock him up long term.
If one good thing came out of last night, it was that Barrie wasn't actually injured, came back to show the team that he is fucking unplayable, and probably convinced Dubas to deal him regardless of our playoff aspirations.

Weird, that you mention Damphousse and Bobby Smith, I grew up playing against Bobby Smith in Ottawa. never lost to him in hockey or tennis.
We were number one and two in Ottawa, in both sports and Vincent and I developed a strong friendship. He was such a fun guy to mentor.
Great guy. Totally sincere and shit, could he play some great hockey. He held that puck as well as Steve Larmer. it was amazing to watch.
Bobby was a bit cocky, but FOOF , for a big man, with no muscles on his entire body, no ripples at all, built like a stove pipe, he was like a gazelle out there.
He was a great hockey player.
Seeing Pierre Engvall for our team, I dream of him having the confidence of Bobby Smith. But he just doesn't have it.
Bobby did. Bobby knew how good he was, and he wasn't good, he was great.
I am setting up a business to connect fans with their heroes. I definitely want Bobby Smith and Vincent to be a big part of that.
I still, have not, to this day, talked to my number two favourite hockey player of all time. Phil Esposito.
Still, to this day, I have not. I did meet the great Bobby Orr however. Beyond awesome. Guy had a hand like a lobster. Huge, gnarled. incredibly strong. And same size as me. But I know, I knew, he could crush me in a second.
