The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Those are pretty gaudy numbers for Muzz-Holl ... against the toughs too, eh.

Yeah....not elite usage until the last bit but even then overall they faced strong comp and their numbers seemed to just get better the tougher the usage. And that doesn't even include a zone adjustment and they had by far the toughest zone deployment. Imo easily the biggest positive development this year. If they're not a fluke - and the numbers make it hard to believe they are - then we're looking at the first legit elite usage matchup pair we've had in....a long long time. Like Markov-Yushkevich but much bigger and with much better puck moving ability.....so much better than them.

If I never see that lob drop pass again, it will be too soon.

Nice vid there showing they keep their speed when not doing that.

All 4 need to step up. Two years ago Matthews was snake bit

last year was a mess for willy generally, and Marner was garbage after game 2.

I’ll give Jt a pass since babs used him to match the b’s big line and they did hold them to 10ES points...

And Babcock played Komarov, Hyman, and Marleau ahead of Willy on the PP.

Good article by Masters on what Keefe is trying to accomplish at the training camp:

He'll become a god for the old timers if he can get them playing a strong defensive game.

Leafs were 19th in xGA after Keefe took over (adjusted). I quite like that Keefe points to the forwards when talking about improving the defensive game. They have been, for sure, the #1 culprits in poor defensive play.
