The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

Anyone else having issues with this site today? Earlier this afternoon, I could barely read anything -- totally jumbled up everything. I got a DDOS check whenever I tried to access the site, saying it's checking my browser. Then it would let me go and I got a nearly incomprehensible site.

Yeah, it's a site-wide issue. It's being worked on.

Totally overdue to get this guy over to his offside, where he has oodles of experience playing. I could never understand the Cock's refusal to try this while he had no problem doing it with the 80 year old Hainsey.

Not an ideal time to try this but it should make the top two pairs better defensively than having Ceci there.

Of course, this seems to create another (minor) issue with two righties on the bottom pair.

They'll have to try it eventually. Since Muzzin & Rielly are both here for the long-haul, that means either Dermott's forever relegated to the third pair as long as he's still a Leaf, or you need to give him an extended look on his off-side.

I guess the only question is whether a five-game playoff series is the best time to try it. And like you say, the third pair's an issue. Not particularly enthused about seeing a Ceci-Barrie pairing, and I don't know that you'd want any of Sandin, Rosen or Marincin babysitting Barrie either.

I honestly totally forgot Ceci is on the team until I read this msg

Maybe a secret weapon for later but this info makes it unlikely.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are just trying things Throughout the two weeks cause you don’t knowhow covid could mess with a line up and it could be swift and shitty

Been thinking the same thing for a while re: with Rielly and Muzzin can't leave the guy at third pair duties.

In terms of that third pair, the problem would be solved, of course, by sitting Barrie and putting Sandin in. :)

I don't actually think it's necessarily the best move right now, but no doubt you're either putting Dermott beside Reilly next year and seeing him flourish or you're going to have to be trading that salary for a guy who can flourish in that role. Can't afford dermott's next contract if he's just a bottom pairing guy.

Been hearing all sorts of chatter in the media about him looking a step behind and clearly not ready bla bla bla. It's a narrative they desperately wanted to create to make them feel impartial. Fuck it. Embrace your homer. He's worth doing it for.

What's next? Sending league inspectors into the Leafs' facilities to make sure they don't have any equipment that's nicer than whatever the poorest teams in the league would be able to afford?
I wouldn't rule anything out.

Leafs pay bags of money to prop up otherwise failing operations. These losers fuck up at nearly every step but never tire of complaining about fairness. Fairness would be them all dying a rightful death.

Meh, it barely matters. If we're winning it, it'll be because our offense is unstoppable.

And if our offense is muffled, like it was the last three years, we're not winning it.

Video clips of Fred today were scary. 11 goals in 4 periods. Yeah, I know, probably doesn't mean much but this guy is our Achilles heel.
