he has one of the most unique career arcs I’ve ever seen....but general point still stands
Right up there with Draisaitl
Who expected Leon to be a top 5 forward in the game

Playing with McJesus? Not a stretch.
He is a legit superstar who elevated his game without CMD when injured , nobody expected this
you can make a flimsy case that Draisaitl slightly exceeded his most optimistic projections, but that happens quite often, and is no way comparable to the Brad Marchand story.

Yeah but when you're at a 125+ point pace it's hard to care.Isn't Draisitil one of the worst defensive forwards in hockey? Like epic bad?

Fair, but I feel like if he played here everyone would know.
Well yeah. That's why we stay consistent with these things. If a guy is super elite offensively as a leaf and shit defensively we worship him, like we did with kessel. And Drai is a leg up offensively from Phil.Fair, but I feel like if he played here everyone would know.

If he got 100+ points two years in a row including a 125 point pace season he would have been. And rightfully so.I'm pretty sure we all knew Kessel was a 1-way player, nor was Kessel even remotely considered one of the best players in hockey. Not even on here.
