The 2019-2020 MotherFucking Season Thread

He was always highly rated. Playing with CMD got him in the top 5. Now he has the confidence to excel.

He is a legit superstar who elevated his game without CMD when injured , nobody expected this

you can make a flimsy case that Draisaitl slightly exceeded his most optimistic projections, but that happens quite often, and is no way comparable to the Brad Marchand story.

True but Brad plays with a first ballot HOF and and a top 3 sniper in the game

His arc is more significant but Leon never had a top 5-10 player in the game story

Great story for both

I bet he falls back to under 100 pts next season. Oilers had almost a 10% jump in PP percentage and not sure he hits 50g again

Still a hell of a player but not 125pt pace good

Take away 25 points and he's still super duper elite. A little surprised at the hate he gets from people here. Who gives a fuck about defense when you score at that rate?

Fair, but I feel like if he played here everyone would know.
Well yeah. That's why we stay consistent with these things. If a guy is super elite offensively as a leaf and shit defensively we worship him, like we did with kessel. And Drai is a leg up offensively from Phil.

I'm pretty sure we all knew Kessel was a 1-way player, nor was Kessel even remotely considered one of the best players in hockey. Not even on here.

If he got 100+ points two years in a row including a 125 point pace season he would have been. And rightfully so.

I always felt that the board was kinda split on Kessel. I mean we loved him because he was a Leaf, but most acknowledged how little effort he put into the other end of the ice.
