they are playing slow.
Just a return to our usual 5v5 SH% would be an extra 9-10 goals scored, which would have us back in the top 10 for 5v5 G/60. Which still isn't good enough (I'm not trying to suggest that we're playing well by our standards and are just unlucky), but is still pretty fucking good by most team's standards.
Tkachuk was the move imoMarner's a great player and I don't really care what he's like one way or another but if we lost him for fair value I wouldn't mind having his vibe off the team. Seems unlikely we'd get fair value however.

FairDon’t think there was any chance he was signing a long-term extension in a Canadian city.
He’ll go down as one of the greatest Leafs of all time. People are way too hard on him.Still think it's nuts to entertain trading Marner. I wouldn't pay attention to almost any offer.
Yep and it shouldn't be long until the workers/talent demand a fair piece of the puzzle. The whole purpose of the principle of "cost certainty" was to skyrocket franchise values.

I'm addressing some of the posters here who are entertaining it as a possibility, or that just want him gone.No one has suggested that they should or will move Marner other than some dude named Stats Mundin. Just want to make that clear.
