The Fantastically Beautiful Joyously Superfun 22-23 Season Celebration Thread

I think there’s no question they’ve played pretty poorly so I don’t think it’s just bad luck. I just also think it’s common sense that some of these offensive stats for our players aren’t going to hold.

Granted I'd still play the shit out of Robertson but I'd focus on making a super offensive, but mega sheltered 3rd or 4th line (which I guess was their idea last game). I wouldn't shoehorn him in the top 6 just yet.

Keefe did this weird thing today where he kinda threatened to split Matthews and Marner if things didn't get better soon.

I don't get why he makes it a bigger deal than it should be. Just like babs. Just split them up and see what happens and then put them back when needed. Everyone should be able to play with each other anyways. Give yourself more options, not fewer.

NHL coaches like rigid structure wherever possible. It makes decision making easier for them. Rigid lines over fluid lines, veterans over young players, etc.

I dunno....some coaches love using line blenders to keep players on their toes, and as zeke aptly mentioned, give themselves more options going forward.

Given his latest retractions, It's possible Keefe doesn't have the nutsack to coach in this market, and/or is intimidated by star players.

Yeah, that was baffling.

Line-shuffling the top-6 should be a regular thing that’s not a big deal. Even the best combos occasionally go stale.

Don’t understand how we basically ended up in a mirror image of the situation we had when Babcock was here. Babs would never play M&M together and now Keefe will never split them up.

Just dumb.
