  • Missed an average of 22 games per season due to injury.

  • Never played more than 68 games in a season.

  • Had two surgeries (wrist & knee) since the end of his season last year.

  • Has had six separate surgeries (both knees, wrist twice, ankle & shoulder) so far in his seven year career.

  • Thus far not played a single game this season due to injury, with no projected return date at the moment.

Cool cool. Makes sense.

The more I turn this one over, the more it makes sense with big retention. They're getting nothing for him in return without it, and need a few more years of tanking anyway.

Karlsson + 4.5 million retained + Reimer for Murray + Holl + Kerfoot + Picks/Kids (this might be a higher price than we want because of the retention and sending Murray back)

Put Gio-Brodie together when you're holding late leads if you need a shut down pair. Then if Muzzin comes back and isn't a corpse, re shuffle (probably a corpse though).
 
Kane and Karlsson - both double retained.

A real PP quarterback that can put fear into the hearts of our opponents + fucken Patrick Kane - we could honestly have two PP units that are better than most 1st units. Transition game is scary good and god willing we can outscore our goalie issues as there is likely no fix available this year.

Go for it glasses.
 
Kral was better than Mete but I guess he had one major fuckup and that was the end of his opportunity. Too bad.
