Karlsson is still amazing. I’d much rather get a guy like that than another Muzzin, as Muzz replacement.

Man they really hated this guy. Barely gave him a shot, although he was pretty shit. Good to see they weren't married to him despite the salary. Shit signing. Hopefully someone takes a flyer on him.

Think it's $1.125M now, so the cap hit goes as well.
 
Aube-Kubel seems to suck, but in theory there was no urgent roster spot or cap space need for them to make this move.

I wonder if they’re hoping he gets claimed for the purpose of clearing a contract slot to sign Petruzzelli to replace Kallgren as their 3rd string (and current backup) goalie?

if he gets claimed they could bring up Petruzzelli for sunday!
 
Guessing this is another "Dubas doing good by the player" by giving him a chance to play somewhere else. I doubt teams would pay to take him when they could get him for free.
 
Not like he was a big signing or anything, but another whiff, and NAK goes from cup winner to waiver wire fodder in 10 games.

He does look like complete shit though, so I have no idea what the fuck they ever saw in him.
