The Fantastically Beautiful Joyously Superfun 22-23 Season Celebration Thread

A?

Gio-Holl
Sandin-Lilly
Brodie-Timmins

No reason to split up the top 2. Gives Timmins an excellent opportunity to see if he has anything because Brodie makes anyone good, and seamless transition for when Rielly is back.

But also any combo of that top 5 probably works.

Can Robertson/SDA maybe bring some chemistry from the A? At least I hope so, for the sake of PP2 - which has been only slightly better than PK1.

I fucking love that Lilly and Sandin are mainstays and excelling, even if it took injuries to finally give them their extended look.

Rielly comes back and that is a fucking insane D corps right there.

Yeah, probably the 2nd best blueline I've ever seen on the Leafs.

Only the Leetch-McCabe-Kaberle-Klee-Berg-Pilar really compares and that was 15 games and a few playoff series. We've comparable top 3-4's to this, but usually with some sort of trash bottom pair.

All of Leetch McCabe Kaberle derived so much of their value from the PP (back in a time where all PPs had 2 point men) it''s hard to compare.

And i forget if it was injury or not but it was Marchment playing over Pilar.

But this D is better than that D.

Klee was never a top pair calibre guy like Brodie has been his whole career, and Berg and marchment were strictly bottom pair guys and we don't have anyone like that.

i would switch Gio and Brodie

Playing around with the numbers and we can re-sign a guy like O'Reilly at a healthy number, if Muzz is LTIR, without losing anything of significance.

The question is which prospect would we have to ante up along with a first round pick to get him?

I wish Niemela and Hirvonen were having better seasons tbh.

Can't really call Niemela or Hirvonen top prospects but if that's he cost for O'Reilly it's a no brainer. I guess Knies would be the other option.
