If my memory serves me correct, it seemed that way last year too with Boosh. He was not a regular late in the season but once playoffs began he was a staple.

I don't think the GM did as good of a job he could have done to give this roster a boost and I don't expect Keefe to do a great job giving this roster much of a boost based on his tendencies. But I happily put the top-end of this lineup against any team in the NHL and while their D is being sabotaged, with the right combinations that can be very good as well. And not talked about enough is that the Leafs goaltending is arguably more stable and better than it has been in years. Samsonov (yes I get being hesitant on trusting him entirely) has been fantastic and there is a world in which he can outplay any goalie in the NHL in a 7 game series.

Pretty sure they go with murray.

I can’t think of anything Leafier than firing the coach and GM that iced the best teams since the 1960s because no cups.

If they fire these guys, they deserve whatever comes next.

Keefe is a really good coach tbh and its the GM's job to dictate personnel.

Dubas its just far too much wastage when letting cheap talent flourish was kind of the whole point of his cap structure - Marchment Moore Barabanov Engvall Sandin Anderson etc etc......just a whole lotta cheap younv talent ditched without ever getting a shot above the bottom lines.
