The Fantastically Beautiful Joyously Superfun 22-23 Season Celebration Thread

Uh, they've drafted a lot of NHL talent in the last 10 years, no?

Drafted (outside of the first round) and subsequently traded:

2012 - 6th round Connor Brown
2013 - 3rd round Carter Verhaege
2013 - 7th round Andreas Johnsson
2014 - 7th round Pierre Engvall
2015 - 2nd round Travis Dermott
2016 - 2nd round Carl Grundstrom
2018 - 2nd round Sean Durzi

I see a list of guys we didn't really give much of a chance to. Lilly is in that group.
Well that's a different argument than - the Leafs draft like shit.

Your argument is that they develop like shit.

Lets try this:

2012 - 6th round Connor Brown - 253 games as a Leaf, 110 as a Marlie
2013 - 3rd round Carter Verhaege - 2 games as a Marlie
2013 - 7th round Andreas Johnsson - 125 games as a Leaf, 129 as a Marlie
2014 - 7th round Pierre Engvall - 226 games as a Leaf, 94 as a Marlie
2015 - 2nd round Travis Dermott - 251 games as a Leaf, 87 as a Marlie
2016 - 2nd round Carl Grundstrom - 44 games as a Marlie
2018 - 2nd round Sean Durzi - traded before playing a game
2018 - 1st round Rasmus Sandin - 140 games as a Leaf, 66 games as a Marlie

They've gotta make it a priority to get Liljegren's game back though. It's like they just lost arguably their best d.. A true #2/3. They need to play him and put him in a position to succeed and IMO that is way more important than getting Luke Schenn in some games. Making Timmy a healthy doesn't help his or the teams cause I think.
