His best move was being the driving force behind the Hyman trade,
If he wants to make bank, net more, and have a peaceful home life? There are far worse places.
And to elaborate on this.. This glorifying of Kyle has been a bit much. Here is a good thread on his trades as Leafs GM. I don't agree with all of the results in these polls so ignore that, but this is hardly the work of some elite, untouchable GM:
He was good, not great.
Brodie was an elite move. Analytic driven, top of the lineup, great value. But thats it really.
He's been shockingly average overall, despite the general opinion of him by everyone, including us.
But I guess tahts the reason he took over a 100 point, 3 playoff win team and left us with a 100 point 6* win playoff team.
Also can't be overlook that #2 and 3 on that list both played for the Soo. Lucked into those. Same with McCann and Timmins.
Also came withh Murray, Mimsy.
But literally his best, most consistent quality was signing guys from the Soo.

I was firmly a #TeamSoo member. Those moves had a great hit rate.People love to both shit in Dubas for Soo moves…..and give him no credit when they work out. Lol
That was Babs. Love at first sight.
It's always the net. I'm sure they at least matched what he was offered because he obviously told tlhem what he was offered.I'm not at all convinced that Pittsburgh's job will be more money than his MLSE extension would have been.
FSG isn't all that wealthy in the grand scheme of things and Pittsburgh is a mid market city at the best of times. Missing the playoffs is not the best of times.
Yeah, easily. That's the one move that jumps out as "I know more than you about the players in your organization" when I look at his track record.
except no, it was Dubas.
Probably why he engineered it. He was out of ideas. Now he can go back to his old ideas. That's what they hired him for anyway.Kyle should have been let go regardless of all this drama. He reached his limits here.
I'd almost guarantee it's less than the deal Shanny had offered him.I'm not at all convinced that Pittsburgh's job will be more money than his MLSE extension would have been.

and the wife knew
That's OK. My Megaphone is loud enough for all. While I'm not willing to dismiss it out of hand, I'm not on #teamcollusion at the moment.
Nah he took over a mid-90s pt team (sans SO) and left us with a 110pt team (sans SO).
