One of the more annoying thing is that dubas kept piling on cheap but one-way vets that he refused to lose on waivers so the kids were always blocked.

More than enough room to add a legit quality middle sixer or two for Kerfoot money. They have room on their top 2 lines and have for years.. One was filled by Bunting but that was a once in a lifetime bargain signing. He refused to even look at spending or acquiring top 6 wingers since.

Enough of these league minimum bargain Bunting attempts and fucking punt Kerf 2 years ago to acquire someone that will actually make a fucking difference. And no, not fucking Jarnkrok either. Fuck. I don't care that his contract isn't crippling.. He has a proven track record of USELESS in a huge playoff sample. There's a balance between saving money and acquiring someone who is actually good at hockey.. Kyle never found that balance at least up front.

i heard on a podcast that vin diesel attended a NASCAR event and wanted to ride in one of the cars around the track as a celebrity tends to do, he however refused when asked to sit in the passenger seat, citing, Dom Torretto always sits behind the wheel.

the most fascinating part of this to me, was that Vin thought they were going to let him drive a NASCAR

Hes going to get megapaid cause of the weak FA class, but Barbashev would be ideal.

…and I’ll say it again, that’s why I think people vastly under appreciate the value of a GM that doesn’t make monstrous fuckups. Cause like you say, they’re all gonna make ‘em, but how much can you limit their frequency and their catastrophic downside.

We’ll have to hope Trelivings learned a ton from all his albatrosses.

And they have a ton of cap space to make impact additions there too.

If they could add a top 4 D to push McCabe down the lineup that would be ideal too.

There's always a bunch of guys available. Last year Nino was the obvious Kerf replacement and they could have added another guy at the deadline on top of that. So much opportunity to do things but he just didn't.. Ever.

Now they kinda need a center more than a winger but fuck me that's not gonna be easy.

Yeah top two things on my wishlist are 2nd line center and top 4 shutdown type d.

Those are two big pieces that won't be cheap so I don't really expect both to be filled unfortunately.
