A guy like Matthews is almost impossible to acquire -- you could offer 10 replacement level guys for him and nobody would make that trade.
best thing Babcock did for the franchise, by a fucking mile…

A teams prospect pool doesn't get graded on a curve, it's either good or it isn't and outside of Knies it's bottom end and with him it's still poor.
But feel free to explain how saying it's pretty good for a ''playoff team'' even though it's rated poorly compared to the rest of the league helps our roster down the road?
So the roster KD had to add large amount of players to at the t/d which gutted our draft capital now has to be replaced with other similar but cheaper players in the ufa market? No I mean the same roster as the team that finished 4th this year, with plenty of capspace to replace any of the free agents.
Yup it was Shanny who surrounded himself with all of Dubies buds from the Soo, lol. I guess being a massive Dubas fan and drinking his kool aid for half a decade takes time to unwind once he's gone.
I’m surprised I have to explain this but teams at different stages of competitiveness tend to have vastly different looking prospect pools. A team that already has elite players and is making the consistently is going to be moving picks at the deadline and shitty teams hey high picks. This should be completely obvious.A teams prospect pool doesn't get graded on a curve, it's either good or it isn't and outside of Knies it's bottom end and with him it's still poor.

…and if it saves his marriage, I couldn’t be happier with how it all played out for them.
I have no idea what your trying to say since i already said in my original post that outside of 3 top players our roster looks bleak which you previously disagreed with yet still shift the discussion back to our top 3 players.A guy like Matthews is almost impossible to acquire -- you could offer 10 replacement level guys for him and nobody would make that trade.
Most ranking have them bottom 3rd.Most rankings have them as about average, though notably that was before Knies' impressive debut.
The system is generally rated as one of the deepest prospect pools around, but with question marks about impact talent at the top.
We'll see if the likes of Knies, Robertson, Niemela, Hildeby can be that kind of impact talent - their stats seem to support that they have that kind of upside at least.

at least your consistent

You used the same user name on HF so i know you feelings well enough.I don't even understand the back half of that but if you're referring to me, well, you don't post enough here to know better, but I am no "massive Dubas fan".
ask yourself this...who takes most of the heat and gets punted after 9 years of failure?
It's not Brendan, who is now embarking on his 3rd GM and coach combo.
There's something to be said for insulating yourself in a corporate structure. Shanahan has had himself a very good setup here. Very good.
Treliving definitely doesn’t sound like he looks.
A “Treliving smash!” Presser wouldn’t have been a shocker. But he came off even nicer and nerdier than og glasses.
I'm surprised i have to explain this to you but we're not ranking a scouting department based on the position and number of picks they had, we're ranking the quality of a prospect pool and based on that the potential of the grads to help the NHL roster.I’m surprised I have to explain this but teams at different stages of competitiveness tend to have vastly different looking prospect pools. For the amount of picks we’ve moved, im we still have a large number of legitimate NHL prospects IMO whether you’re aware of them or not.
Jesus. Yes… our prospect pool is not as good as rebuilding teams lacking elite players who’ve been stockpiling picks. Great point.I'm surprised i have to explain this to you but we're not ranking a scouting department based on the position and number of picks they had, we're ranking the quality of a prospect pool and based on that the potential of the grads to help the NHL roster.
It looks like you don't, though. You used the same user name on HF so i know you feelings well enough.
