The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

like if Sammy gets more than $2.6 (which is pretty likely) then we're already in a situation where we can only carry 12 forwards due to no capsapce.

If willy is really playing hardball and he has a M-NTC I wonder if Seattle is on his list? They have the room to take him this season without sending salary back and have tons of cap space moving forward.

We probably need another long term C... Shane wright for a signed willy? Then sign tarasenko/kane short term.

yeah we're gonna want to keep this guy on the bottom pair most likely.

Loads of potential for that one to be their worst offseason move, yeah. Luckily it's without any long-term commitment but it sure makes it tough for them to shore up their D now.

The one year deals actually give them a ton of flexibility at the deadline. Especially because 50% of Klingberg's salary was already paid as a bonus.

If those signings don't work out they can create a ton of space in season no problem.

Unlike a guy with extra years like Murray, who they were stuck spending $5 mill on even though he didn't play.

Definitely way more preferable than Kyle's errors. I just would have preferred he got the right guy the first time rather than having to scramble at the deadline for a fit that may not be available.

But hopefully he works out.

Carolina does this all the time (Burns, Deangelo, Ghost). There is a market inefficiency with elite offensive dmen that stink defensively.

To get one of the best PP Qb's in the league that can score 10 goals and 45 points in his sleep for 1 year $4 mill really isn't that costly.

I am not so sure it won't work out. Have to use him right though.

But if it doesn't, well thats just $4 mill we get to spend at the deadline.

Valimaki stunk tho.

Better comp imo which Lilly was right on track with (and still not much behind) until the most recent fuckery....

Despite Dubas and Brad's reputations, it wasn't Brad trading for Booshes and Schenns at the deadline to bench his kids.
