These guys barely stop short of predicting a zombie apocalypse each offseason when it comes to the Leafs. Who even cares what they say. Vegas said we were favorites to win the Cup I think? There are slightly more stakes tied to that prediction.

It takes a slightly outsized ego to be a former low-level member of the Leafs analytics department giving hot takes on Twitter, IMO. Like, you’re not good enough to be a small cog in the decision making team, or to get a job in any other org., but you’re good enough to explain how everything they’re doing is wrong.

Entertaining stuff sometimes, but I don’t see these takes as any more meaningful than any useless TV/news pundit.

Oddsmakers don't set odds to tell you who's going to win. They set odds to attract suckers. And since they know that Leafs fans are the biggest suckers in all the sporting world they will always set the odds in such a way as to attract the gullible.
 
Does anyone have any idea of when the Next Gen game will be this year? They usually have a matinee at some point in the year but I’ve browsed the schedule and don’t see any matinee home games. My uncle said he’ll try to get me tickets for my kiddo but I can’t find squat. Been on hold with MLSE sales for 20 minutes currently.

My guess is the homophobia has taken away the next generation game as they can't do speciality warm up jerseys and they may have a different 3rd jersey already designed for the season. It's usually Dec 23rd (I've taken the day off to go to every one since they started).

I know MLSE wasn't happy when they started (the league did the game time without really telling them) so it may have been an easy way to get rid of it.
 
Finally Got through. It hasn’t been announced yet. That being said, if FI wanted to rent a gondola we could fit 42 people in it (or just Preston and his aliases with a few of us tagging along) food and soft drinks included for the incredible low price starting at 15k.

Funny, I thought the odds were based on actual probabilities they calculated so that they don't shell out a gazillion dollars on a bet unnecessarily. But apparently they're just psyching out not just Leafs fans, but all sports gamblers on the planet. I didn't know the conspiracy ran that deep. Damn.

Isn't switching out the assistant coaches in wholesale fashion while keeping Keefe essentially saying that the coaching was bad last year, with the exception of the one guy in charge of all coaching? Keeping Keefe around is really ridiculous.
 
Doesn't pretty much every team have a former head coach as an assistant?

Haven't a couple of Keefe's assistants become head coaches already?

The gossip this team gets sucks.
