The Mother-fucking goddamn Off-season Thread

Season PK Forwards

Kampf 2:38 --- Marner 2:17
Kerfoot 1:37 --- Jarnkrok 1:37
O'Reilly 1:11 --- Acciari 1:46
ZAR 0:51 --- Lafferty 0:55/Engvall 0:32

Playoffs PK Forwards

Kampf 2:10 --- Marner 2:08
O'Reilly 1:10 --- Acciari 1:27
Kerfoot 0:25 --- Jarnkrok 0:58

So at the moment heading into the year the PK forwards are pretty iffy.

Kampf-Marner will stay the same obviously.

Jarnkrok is probably part of the 2nd group but it's not obvious who his partner is - Lafferty would be the 1st choice there most likely. If he's cut, then you're looking at maybe Holmberg? of course if you cut Lafferty you can still sign league minimum guys like ZAR to play the PK. that guy Gambrell probably PKs now that I think about it.

No obvious PK types beyond that - it may be a year where guys like Matthews and Nylander get to see some PK time.

This is a tough one to predict. Could just as easily see them giving him $2.7m as I could $3.5m. At least I feel pretty confident that would be the ceiling though.

Just noticed that if Murray gets bought out he loses $2.7m in actual money. He could say he's injured and then they can't buy him out, so he gets the $2.7m, but then we have a much easier time LTIRing him.

how much of that $2.7m could he realistically recoup from a contract from another team. Any teams out there willing to give him much more than league min? if not, he's still out $2m.

Changes so far, if you combine the guys who literally replaced each other in the lineup over the season:

Bunting 82gms --> Bertuzzi
Kerfoot 82gms --> Domi
Malgin 23gms/Holmberg 37gms/O'Reilly 13gms (73gms) --> Holmberg
Engvall 58gms/Acciari 23gms (81gms) --> Knies
ZAR 77gms --> Reaves
Lafferty 19gms/Simmonds 18gms/Anderson 14gms/NAK 6gms (57gms) --> Lafferty

Holl 80gms ---> Klingberg
Sandin 52gms/McCabe 21gms (73gms) --> McCabe
Liljegren 67gms/Schenn 15gms (82gms) --> Liljegren
Timmins 25gms/Gustafsson 9gms (34gms) ---> Timmins

Murray 26gms/Kallgren 10gms/Woll 7gms (43gms) --> Woll/Hildeby/Petruzzelli

A similar list for the Bruins would look like this:

Bergeron 78gms --> Geekie
Krejci 70gms ----> JVR
Hall 61gms -----> Lucic
Foligno 60/Bertuzzi 21 (81gms) ---> P.Brown
Nosek 66gms --> Megna
Smith 42gms/Hathaway 25gms (67gms) --> Boqvist

Forbort 54gms / Orlov 23gms (77gms) ---> Forbort
Clifton 78gms ----> Shattenkirk
Zboril 22gms / Rielly 10gms/Stralman 8gms (40) --> Zboril

For the bolts:

Killorn 82gms --> Sheary
Colton 81gms --> Eyssimont
Namestnikov 57gms/Jeannott 20gms --> Jeannott
Bellemare 73gms --> Glendening
Perry 81gms ---> L.Brown
Maroon 80gms --> Barre-Boulet
Eyssimont 15gms/Koepke 17gms --> Koepke

Cole 78gms --> DeHaan
Bogosian 46gms / Foote 26gms --> Bogosian

Elliott 22gms --> Johansson

didn;t realize how amazingly healthy the bolts were last year. everyone slotted regular played over 70gms other than Cirelli (58) and Bogo (46).

Florida:

Duclair 20 / Hornqvist 22 / Smith 38 (80) --> Rodrigues
Staal 72 --> Lorentz
White 68 --> Stenlund

Staal 82 --> OEL
Gudas 72 --> Mikkola
Mahura 82 --> Kulikov
Kiersted 20/Fitzgerald 4 --> Mahura

Lyon 15 ---> Stolarz

I think Florida, like us, might actually be upgraded on paper.

Brad definitely making a statement to start his tenure.

Didn't fall over his dick to start UFA period, stayed calm, and still got some of the better players on good contracts. Lets sammy go to arb. Not cowtowing to Matthews or Willy.
