oh there's actually 3 groups, so a 3rd group of no-chancers, which means the fringe guys in the first 2 groups are a step up on those guys.

We’re realbig up front now. Knies is thicker than the eye lets on.
 
Looks like Gambrell is the only non-lock in Group A. So he is probably a lock unless he sucks balls like Gaudette. The early favourite at least.

does Holmberg need waivers?

I really don't want to see another guy from a shitty team be gifted a spot. We need to start playing our young guys. Same shit every year.

I think you're looking at my half list of only guys in actual competition for a spot. There are a bunch of non-locks in group A.

In fact based on the groups i think gambrell is on the outside looking in because he's the only bubble guy not in the group with all the other 4th line competition - Kampf, Reaves, Holmberg, Robertson, Gregor are all in group B.

Yes! Way too many vets and PTO's brought-on past few years.
 
I do think Keefe has had a weird idea that Lafferty provides offense just because he got 4 shorthanded goals last year, and it factored into why they got him in the first place.

But I still don't mind at all the idea of giving Tavares two grind wingers. We've never really done that with him before and it's kind of when he looked his best in NY.
