It’s funny, because Oak is a big Timothy Liljegren fan, and Timmy didn’t become a full-time NHLer until partway through his age 22 season.

And Robertson only celebrated his 22nd birthday a month ago.

The other thing is, as long as a player is still waiver-exempt—which Robertson will be for the entirety of the 2023/24 season—there’s absolutely no rush to fish or cut bait with him.

If he can’t crack the roster out of camp next year, when he’s no longer waiver exempt, then you’ve got a problem. But not before.
