I hear you, but this is the complete opposite end of the financial/budget spectrum.

It wouldn't be deciding to move on from Auston Matthews because of money in Toronto. It would be deciding to trade him for hockey reasons. Tulsky wouldn't have to make decisions for any reason other than what makes the team the best.

It's funny listening to Jeff Marek and Elliott make a case for him and how Toronto may need a shake up and how Treliving isn't afraid to do that. They pointed to the Panthers trade.


No mention of if he is good at his job, if his trades where worthwhile, nothing.

Hire him cause he's got balls I guess.

i think for the most part though, i'm okay with setting a price internally for non-elite guys and letting them walk. like, that's a good philosophy in general even if it's hard for fans.

it was hilarious how they pumped him "He's not afraid to work the phones to make a deal". LOL....as if most GMs fail because they don't spend enough time on the phones
